What to Look for When Choosing Vegan Spots in Charlotte

Before diving into the restaurants, here are a few things we found especially helpful while eating our way around the city:

  • Choose places with clearly labelled vegan menus – Charlotte has plenty.
  • Whole-food dishes help balance out heavier meals across the day.
  • Charlotte’s mix of vegan and vegan-friendly restaurants means mixed groups are easy to accommodate.
  • Some spots close earlier than expected, especially outside Uptown – it’s worth checking hours.
  • Scratch-made sauces and locally sourced ingredients usually mean the most flavour with the least effort.
