Our Guide To Vegan Options At Wingstop (2025 Menu)

Finding vegan options at fast-food restaurants can be a challenge, especially when dining with friends or family who aren’t vegan.

Wingstop, known for its chicken wings, might not seem like a vegan-friendly spot at first glance.

However, if you’ve found yourself heading to Wingstop, don’t worry! While the options are limited, there are still a few items you can enjoy.

We headed back recently to enjoy some of those good flavors.

Let’s explore everything that’s vegan at Wingstop and how to customize your order to make the most of their menu.

What Can Vegans Eat at Wingstop?

To be perfectly honest, Wingstop’s vegan options are slim, as the restaurant’s specialty is chicken wings.

Still, there are a few sides and sauces that are safe for vegans. With a little creativity, you can combine these items for a more satisfying meal.

Vegan Options At Wingstop

Vegan Sides and Extras at Wingstop

Here are the vegan-friendly side options you can order:

  • French Fries: Wingstop fries are seasoned and contain no animal ingredients. However, they may be cooked in shared fryers with animal products, so it’s worth asking your server if they use separate fryers at your location.
  • Veggie Sticks (Carrot and Celery Sticks): A fresh, crunchy option, usually served with ranch—just skip the ranch as it isn’t vegan.
  • Cajun Fried Corn: Corn on the cob pieces, fried and seasoned with Cajun spices. Like the fries, these are often cooked in shared fryers, so check with your local Wingstop.

A Note on Cross-Contamination

Both the French fries and Cajun fried corn are typically cooked in shared fryers with animal products, which can lead to cross-contamination. However, some Wingstop locations use separate fryers for fries and corn. It’s always best to ask your server.

Vegan Sauces and Seasonings at Wingstop

While Wingstop is known for its wings, we think its sauces and seasonings are the secret stars.

Luckily, several are vegan-friendly and can be added to your fries, veggie sticks, or corn to amp up the flavor.

Here are the vegan sauces and seasonings available at Wingstop:

  • Original Hot Seasoning/Dip – Spicy, classic buffalo-style flavor
  • Cajun Seasoning/Dip – Zesty and bold with a kick
  • Louisiana Rub Seasoning/Dip – Garlicky, dry rub with a peppery finish
  • Spicy Korean Q Dip – Sweet and spicy with a soy-based flair
  • Mild Seasoning/Dip – Milder version of the classic buffalo flavor
  • Hawaiian Dip – Sweet and tangy tropical flavor
  • Hickory Smoked BBQ Dip – Smoky, rich, and bold barbecue taste
  • Atomic Dip – Extremely hot, for spice lovers
  • Mango Habanero Dip – Sweet with a fiery kick

Vegan Drinks at Wingstop

If you’re grabbing a drink with your meal, Wingstop has a range of vegan-friendly beverages. Most of their sodas, teas, and lemonades are suitable for a plant-based diet.

Options typically include:

  • Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Dr Pepper, and Sprite
  • Minute Maid Lemonade
  • Freshly brewed iced tea (unsweetened or sweetened — check if honey is used locally)
  • Bottled water

Drinks may vary by location, but you’ll usually find at least one or two reliable vegan choices to go alongside your sides and sauces.

Bread and Rolls at Wingstop

Wingstop doesn’t have a wide bread selection, but here’s what you need to know:

  • Hawaiian Rolls – not vegan, as they contain dairy.
  • Sandwich Bun – usually free from animal ingredients, but always confirm at your local Wingstop.
  • Tortillas / Wraps – these aren’t a core menu item at most locations, but if available, check with staff before ordering.

If you’re hoping to build a more filling meal, asking about the sandwich bun can give you an extra option beyond fries and corn.

Our Wingstop Order

On our last visit to Wingstop, I ordered a large portion of seasoned fries with the Louisiana Rub, while Mr went for the Cajun Fried Corn with a side of Original Hot dip for extra spice. We shared a portion of veggie sticks between us to balance out the fried food.

The kids had their own basket of fries with Hickory Smoked BBQ sauce, which they really enjoyed, along with drinks – one went for a Minute Maid Lemonade and the other chose an apple juice.

The options were limited, but with fries, corn, sauces, and fresh veggie sticks on the table, it made for a satisfying meal.

If you’re planning a trip soon, take a look at the menu first to plan your meal, and take a look at their allergen info.

Final Thoughts

Wingstop may not be the most vegan-friendly spot, but you can still find a few items to enjoy.

The French Fries, Veggie Sticks, and Cajun Fried Corn can be combined with their flavorful vegan-friendly sauces to create a satisfying meal.

Although Wingstop currently offers no vegan wings or plant-based proteins, you can still make the most of their sides and extras.

Hopefully, in the future, Wingstop will expand its plant-based options. Until then, enjoy what’s available – and don’t forget to ask about those fryers!
